Volt is immediately hiring for Machining Manufacturing Engineer Cast Iron in Waterloo Iowa 50703 As a Machining Manufacturing Engineer Cast Iron you will be responsible for: Develop machining processes for new and existing partsCreate CNC machining programs using CAM SoftwareSupport projects introducing new CNC equipment from planning through beginning productionImplement CNC processes for product developmentDevelop complex NC machining processesCommunicate and resolve issues with maintenance, production, and engineering teamsTroubleshoot daily issues for order fulfillmentDevelop and improve new NC machining processes and perishable toolingInnovate and enhance processes for cost reduction, quality, and safetyTest new processes and technologies by executing a detailed planUnderstand manufacturing tooling principles, tool design, and qualityInterpret GD&T, product models, and printsMaintain archival and documentation resources for NC groups Required Skills & Experience:Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and CAM software (EdgeCAM, Feature CAM, Creo/NC) or equivalentExperience with offline simulation software (Vericut preferred)Proficiency with tool data management software (TDM Systems preferred)NC Programming proficiencyMachining centers expertise, particularly in cast iron machiningStrong understanding of tooling and tooling systemsProficient computer and office software skillsExperience with in-process gaugingMulti-axis machining experience (Mazak machines) Desired Skills & Experience:Background in Robotic/Automation Education: Bachelors degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent working experience Duration: 12+ Months Location: Waterloo Iowa 50703 Work Schedule: Onsite Shift: 1st shift Pay range: $35/hr. to $44/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
