high output manufacturing facility. Navigation and Sensor Systems
(NSS) is seeking a skilled leader to manage Quality Assurance in
our Microelectronics and Automation IPTs and also focusing on
Continuous Improvement activities. This leader will be responsible
for ensuring compliance of Manufactured Electronics Assemblies to
Industry leading manufacturing standards and facilitation of
Continuous Improvement activities including APQP Implementation and
Six Sigma Project Coordination in our world class Electronics
Manufacturing Facility. This Position will lead a team of skilled
Quality Engineers and Technicians in ensuring highest levels of
process compliance, improving inspection mentorship, and assist the
manufacturing teams with resolution of significant process
inhibitors.Job Description:
Management of a high performing team
of Quality ProfessionalsEnsure process compliance to Internal and
external standards such as: AS9100/ISO9001:2015 and NSS Workmanship
Manual for Electronic Assemblies), Military Standards and
otherEnsure compliance to internal and external Command Media,
coaching and qualification of floor inspectors and coordination
with Manufacturing Management as The Voice of our
CustomersInteracts with Engineering, Quality Engineering, and
Manufacturing teams to communicate and resolve issues identified
from inspection, process audits, layered assessments.Coordinates
activities to identify, prioritize and resolve complex Engineering,
Process, and Supplier issues creating defects and impacting The
Cost of Poor QualityBecause of the need for consistent, in-person
collaboration with Operations Support Staff all work is required to
be performed onsite for this role. This means work will be
conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of
experience or 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.Ability to
communicate with all levels of The OrganizationPossess effective
written and verbal skillsProficient in Microsoft Office productsA
solid understanding of Data Driven Decision MakingDemonstrable
experience at managing complex process A strong understanding of
Statistical methodologies for Data Based Decision MakingPreferred
Education, Experience, & Skills
AS9100/ISO9000 background APQP/AS9145
KnowledgeExperience with electronics automated assembly and/or
microelectronics processesUnderstanding of Solder Acceptance
Criteria and Assembly Standards (IPC 610/J-Std or other Workmanship
Standards)Problem solving toolbox including 8D/Fishbone etcMilitary
/ DOD experience helpfulSix Sigma Belt, preferable Black Belt or
abovePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $115100 - $195700Please
note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
