Job Description:
A company is looking for a Physician Practice Coder to conduct
coding reviews and chart audits in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
Review patient medical records and code diagnoses and procedures
using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS classification systems
Perform random chart audits and respond to coding questions to
ensure accurate billing
Maintain productivity standards and stay updated on coding
practices through ongoing education
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience (at least 2
years)
CPC or CPC-A certification required
2-5 years of experience in a multi-specialty physician coding
environment
In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, and CPT-4
Familiarity with computerized billing and charging systems
