Open to all, St. Dominic Villa offers long-term skilled nursing care and short-term rehab to older adults and is a truly peaceful place to live and work.We are looking for compassionate and kindhearted healthcare professionals who already have their CNA certification, are in a program to completing your CNA or are looking to start their career in health care.Hiring bonus available for full and part-time openingsShift Differential Available for NOC shiftsAll shifts require every other weekend and a holiday rotationResponsibilitiesMaintains and actively promotes effective communication with residents/patients/clients and family members / personal representatives.Responsible for maintaining a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.Attend training sessions, staff meetings and in-services; complete required educational units annually and obtain a minimum of 12 hrs. continuing education per year.Read and adhere to resident rights agreement and report any violations immediately.Treat residents, families and other staff with dignity and respect.Use proper body mechanics in the performance of all tasks, maintain a safety focus.Only perform tasks in which they have been trained; will not operate equipment without proper instruction.Practice universal precautions and use personal protective equipment when dealing with blood and body fluids.Maintain a calm composed attitude when dealing with difficult residents, families or staff.Perform personal cares and mobility of residents as assigned and as directed in resident care plan.Maintain confidentiality.Maintain good attendance and take breaks only as assigned.Work cooperatively with all disciplines.Cooperate with scheduling clerk to accomplish adequate coverage for resident cares.Document appropriately in the medical record and effectively utilizes electronic medical record.Report to team leader prior to the end of shift.Performs other similar duties, as needed.Requirements:At least 16 years of age.Active license as a Certified Nursing Assistant with State of WI (or ability to obtain).Commitment to quality programs and services for the residents/patients/clients.Excellent communications and human relation skills.Ability to relate well to the residents/patients/clients, family members / personal representatives.Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and exhibit flexibility when needed.Ability to hear communication and communicate verbally, visually and in writing with staff and residents.Tolerant of interruptions and flexible when changes occur - may be subjected to verbal or physical outbursts from residents.If you are looking to build a connection with those you serve and enjoy being part of a team of health care professionals committed to helping individuals live long and well, St. Dominic Villa has the perfect opportunity to fulfill these desires and we'd love to meet you.
